Blue Crown Conure

Originates: North-eastern Colombia and northern Venezuela, including Margarita Island, the interior of north-eastern Brazil, and south-western Brazil to Paraguay, western Uruguay and northern Argentina.

This conure is a medium size that is about 160 grams in weight.

This is probably the best known Aratinga conure. They are generally a fairly laid back bird that is accepting of situations. I personally believe that they are the best of the Aratingas for children. They can be excellent talkers and have wonderful outgoing dispositions. They love to be in the middle of their families and take part in everything. If raised correctly they love to explore new situations are generally ready to play and enjoy life. They can be as loud as any of the Aratinga conures so here again I urge people to do their homework and be aware of the noise BEFORE you purchase a bird.
