Cherry Headed or Red-Masked Conure

This conures is restricted to the arid zone of western Ecuador and northwestern Peru south to Lambayeque.

This is another of the green conures this one with a completely red head and red bend of wing, carpal edge and outermost under wing-coverts and thighs.

I will ask you to refer to the Mitred Conure for a description as I have found them to be almost identical in personality.

Blue Crown Conure

Originates: Northeastern Colombia and northern Venezuela, including Margarita Island, the interior of northeastern Brazil, and southwestern Brazil to Paraguay, western Uruguay and northern Argentina.

This Conure is a medium size that is about 160 grams in weight.

This is probably the best known Aratinga Conure. They are generally a fairly laid back bird that is accepting of situations. I personally believe that they are the best of the Aratingas for children. They can be excellent talkers and have wonderful outgoing dispositions. They love to be in the middle of their families and take part in everything. If raised correctly they love to explore new situations are generally ready to play and enjoy life. They can be as loud as any of the Aratinga conures so here again I urge people to do their homework and be aware of the noise BEFORE you purchase a bird.
