Dusky Conure

Originates: Southeastern Columbia and eastern Peru and Northwestern Brazil to northeastern Bolivia. It is one of the smaller Aratinga conures similar in size to a Sun Conure weighing about 100 grams. Their call is a series of a four or five shrill yapping notes that can be rather shrill along the line of a Sun Conure. The Dusky Conure is primarily a green corner with a brownish-grey head, the woutter webs of their primary feathers are blue and their tail above green broadly tipped with blue and below grey, they are white around their eye.

This little guy has a very devoted following among the people lucky enough to own one. They have an outgoing fun loving disposition somewhat similar to the sun Conure but perhaps a bit more opinionated. They do seem to go through a nippy stage when they reach sexual maturity but with gentle handling and correct guidance come through it and become loving pets once again.
